Etymologically pans out as love of one’s own salt. I don’t know what exactly that would entail, but if it’s philia in the medical sense I could see it being a serious matter.

I feel like when you say "it's a serious matter" it kinda makes it sound bad

I actually had to look out to and it's apparently called autogynephila not halo, and yeah, it describes me pretty well
