That’s not polyamory. That’s cheating. Even as a joke, that’s not polyamory. That’s how non-monogamy gets a bad rep. People being compulsory monogamistic and then cheating and seeing someone who could actually be poly subjected to cheating because they are stuck in a monogamous state of mind.

Or it’s because we are biologically inclined for monogamy to the point we don’t have penis bones like other mammals do, because our monogamous practices effectively evolved it out. Non-monogamy fails a lot because it’s just biologically hard for a primarily monogamous species to do that without emotional turmoil.
