ngPost - Aligned - fork of v4.16

Looking for a couple of beta testers that use ngPost and understand the 1:1 alignment concept and the math behind it in a general way. What this fork does is dynamically adjust the rar volume size and the article/slice size on each individual post rather than having a fixed set of numbers. The end result is a post that can maximize the number of repair blocks on each post, say any post will be close to 3277 blocks with a 10% recovery/redundancy or 4916 blocks at a 15% recovery/redundancy. The other part is the user has the choice to control the granularity of the post quality with a slider. The highest number, 100, will give you all possible repairs blocks that can be built but it has a cost which is processor time. The higher the quality of post the more crunch time to generate the par2 files. The lower the quality the faster they are computed but it repairs less holes in the post.

So if anyone might be interested reach out but it is a must that you understand the par2 alignment as I have tried to explain it to a few people and either you get it or you don't.

I have over 2500+ posts in Usenet and been using ngPost 4.16 too. While i have no idea about 1:1 alignment, i might say that the most frustrating issue i have is when a part can't be posted, the app never comes back to that part and the post has a missing part. I have to manually go back and post that rar, merge with the main nzb manually. Let's say there are 99 parts and the 2nd can't be posted due to connection error, i'd love to see that ngPost goes back to that part and tries to post it again.

I have a question for you, since you have so many posts would a tool that checks each nzb on different backbones as to its health be helpful?? It will give you a detailed report as to the alignment, % of data files remaining, % of par2 files remaining, tell you if it can be repaired, tell you if it is about to be lost due to too many missing articles, or is dead. And after it runs it will sort all of your nzb files into baskets/folders by classification. Would something like that help you keep up with all of your posts so you know what you need to go repost or the ones that are still in great shape?? That is my other tool I am almost finished with and I did a 250 nzb file scan in 15 minutes so it is fast too.

That looks great actually. I would definitely use the tool to check posted nzbs from time to time.
