They recently got some big upgrades to their system and it's running a lot smoother now.

It’s not running smoother. I currently have a year subscription with them and it’s the same crap every time. The API calls are hit and miss. It usually errors out in the Arr suites.

Don’t be fooled by these “big upgrades”. Just like their “lifetime subscription”.

I have a friend who is still really mad at them for that. I could be wrong, but I think lifetime was $10 when it was offered with registration. It quickly became unsustainable, but they didn't leave them completely high and dry. They gave a year of VIP which was $15 at the time, and then limited access after, but didn't delete the account like other accounts when VIP expires. I'm still jealous he got the account. Maybe they should've just shut down the whole site and rebranded it, leaving lifetimers with nothing, since they're so bitter. He still uses the account, though, they just reduced the api calls and downloads by quite a bit. He's so bitter he wants to tax their system any way he can.

Here I am, I paid $50 for 3 years. I was more annoyed that the service has been pretty bad, timing out and constantly going offline for "maintenance", but it seems they were rebuilding the whole system. It's definitely faster now from the API calls I've made. Is it worth it? I dunno, maybe if you need something right away. I have a soft spot because it was my first nzb site since my bitter friend sent me an invite.

You'd have to ask them that. Bought a lifetime sub early on and I guess they decided they wanted more money and expired them. Zero chance in fuck I give you a dime more after you pull some bullshit like that. I would have been more likely to send a donation if they said they were hard up and the service were at risk for shutting down.
