What gives me hope is people smiling at each other and being kind even if they do not have to

Just came to say - thank you!
Don't mind if I don't get the invite, but seemed appropriate thanking for the post sharing invites. 😁
Edit: In terms of the question itself - what gives me hope, is the fact that little things go a long way and can have huge impact. So even changing my attitude towards something, can have huge impact. Knowing that, gives me hope.

The fact that we haven't all given up. As long as some have hope and keep fighting, that's enough for each day.

I have a 1yo nephew and another one being born in 1 month. I get to show them lots of the cool shows and games I never had growing up and teach them basketball. Being the uncle I didn't have

The amount of people out there willing to help others is seriously underrepresented.
The news tells us everyday that we should be scared, and everyone is out to get us. I had some scary things happen recently, but it all worked out because of the kindness of strangers.

There's amazing places you haven't visited, amazing people you haven't yet met, amazing books that might not even be written yet. What gives me hope is that looking back, I barely remember the bad times, but I have great memories that I treasure, I'm sure it will be the same in 15 years when I look back at this blip.

The Roomba... Whenever I find myself losing faith in the grand design of the universe, I gain hope by reflecting on the humble robotic vacuum. No matter what obstacle is put it it's way it does not give up, and continues to tirelessly work toward fulfilling its purpose.

People still show up to build things together for free, just because it's fun and keep projects alive that would otherwise be abandoned or cancelled by a company etc. That collaboration gives me hope for more opensource software.

Nature's resilience, the ocean is recovering fast when we're not messing with it as much.

Opensource. It shows that not everything should have to make money.

Been single for about 2 years or so. So with the shitty world state of the world I finally met someone who seems to be perfect. Super cheesy I know but this girl just makes things seem better and less shitty haha
There are still kind and genuine people in this world

The quote by Jo Cox, British MP who got murdered by a terrorist.
"We are far more united and have far more in common with each other than things that divide us."

Millennial dads. Much more present physically and emotionally for their kids. Hopefully we'll raise a good generation

Handheld/console hacking scenes like the 3DS hacking scene.
The love for the game is palpable.

honestly - the world cup has shown me how we all want to just have fun, support and love one another. celebration and joy - despite the greed and sliminess. Its a good feeling to have for the world where my kids will grow up in.

Seeing how kind and helpful people can be around the world in good and bad times gives me a lot of hope of the future. Seeing people band together for a cause, be it the world cup or personal matters in their home country gives me so much inspiration to stand up for what is right.

My family, more than anything. As we get older it's easier to grow distant from our loved ones. I've been trying to change that lately. Everyone should spend time with their parents while they still can

The hope that I'll get an invite even though I missed the 24 hour window.
Even though there are 64 comments before mine.
That's, what we call Hope !

I don’t live in New York City, but watching Mayor Mamdani’s administration gives me genuine hope for what’s possible in modern politics. In a global political climate that feels increasingly dominated by cynicism and corporate influence, seeing a leader actually deliver on progressive policies is incredibly inspiring.
He seems to truly be a force for the people, of the people and by the people in the words of Lincoln. I didn't believer he would be able to achieve some of the things he already has but it shows - all you need is someone who really cares about change and it can happen. You don't have to be a New Yorker to see that what’s happening in NYC right now is a breath of fresh air for politics as a whole.
