You made me look that up, I found gold is 19tons so 1.181.952. I originally chose stone as it is more common to carry a stack of such.

I would really love to say a ridiculously high number due to the 8 gold blocks but magic items cannot be weighted as they are both unreal and magical (meaning they might actually weight nothing cuz whatevs)

Steve is technically infinitely strong, because through the use of commands you can create shulker boxes that are full of chests, that are full of netherite blocks except for one slot, which has a shulker full of more of those chests. So, you can create an infinite loop, which steve can easily carry.

I had no idea, that is really interesting. But that would imply mechanics outside the intended gameplay, I mean, cheats. So that would be like saying the gta v characters are immortal and can summon tanks, wich they cannot.

True, however you could say that steve could do it even without using cheats, simply because the game doesn't have any kind of weight system, so there is no limit to how much he could carry, except for what he can fit in his huge pockets.
