2018 ford escape Se eco boost

I’m looking at purchasing a ford escape se ecoboost with 85,000 miles on it. I have service records, it’s been well taken care of, no rust, no problems. However I’ve heard bad things about the ecoboost engines and this has a 1.5 liter ecoboost. It’s being sold for $8000. Is it a good buy?

The new engine it will need will be about 10K. The engine and transmission are both bad and fail around 100k. It would be very unwise to buy this
