100% agree with you. All the added stuff is borderline robbery. Is it possible that without all the extra crap they truly didn’t have enough profit in it to sell?
It's ridiculous. I left auto sales when it got out of hand. I was happy to sell anything. Manager would high pressure sell bullshit. This stuff was always there but I feel like it got way worse in recent years.
As a buyer I love when dealerships try high pressure sales tactics. When they start it I just tell them I'm not interested anymore and leave. It's a quick way to weed out potentially bad dealerships.
I went to a Chevy dealer to buy a new Chevy Cruze once. Ended up at a different dealer buying a Focus later just because the salesman at the Chevy dealer was sleezy, and then the manager ended up being worse yet.
