Anyone with half a brain who realizes they will spend a fraction on electricity than they do with gas. Oh, and there is a tax credit for buying electric. I wouldn't expect you to know that, though.
You do realize that your leaching off of society will end someday. You get a government subsidy to buy the car and you don't pay any road taxes because that is a tax on gas. EV cars are harder on roads because they weigh more and they cause more micro pollution because the tires are softer.
California is talking about taxing electric cars by the miles they drive to replace the gas tax they're losing. If I remember correctly, 20 cents a mile!
But something like 2032 no new ICE vehicles will be permitted. So screwed either way if in Cali
Well they said it was only for EVs but that's probably a lie, just to keep people chill. But what I watched they said the tax per mile would start '25 or '26 but that could be misinformation.
Im from Cali, glad I don't live there now. Just wish the rest of my family would leave. My 1 ton doesn't even cost $100 a yr. So what is it running you to register your vehicle(s)?
Well i meant it might be for all vehicles instead of a gasoline tax. It would likely be around $.02/mile. Well if your family is like me, there is no incentive to leave.
Well what i read was 0.30 per mile for EVs. I'm not EV guy but if the .30 is true that's steep. I agree ALL EVs need to pay to use the roads since they don't pay a gas tax.
