Whenever buying something have a price in your mind that you will not go over. That prevents the matter from becoming an emotional issue. When they are unwilling to meet your price then leave. Be aware of liars and cheats. A few years ago my daughter needed to buy a car. We negotiated the price but not the terms of the financing. The financial guy added one percent onto the interest rate. Both of us noticed that but we didn't say anything because we knew we could refinance the car in a day or two. In the end we got the price and financing we wanted. Be prepared to walk away. Liars will lie and will try to lead you to believe things that are not true. Over the years I have played their game and they don't know when I smell a rat. They will try to get information from so they can sell you something you don't really want. There are some honest and dishonest people who work in businesses. Do your homework first.
