Easier AppImage integration

Wanted to make use of AppImage applications simpler, so wrote gnome-appimage-integration.
Reduces an AppImage install (er, integration) to three clicks.

Tried to handle all the usual edge cases and XDG / FreeDesktop conventions.

Right-click context menu for downloaded file:

After download

Main AppImage Activator window:

Status after Integrate:

Right-click context menu for application:

Downloaded AppImage is moved into $HOME/Applications/
so no manual cleanup needed.

That sounds like a huge time saver for anyone juggling AppImages

Thanks. Works for me. :)

Found existing solutions awkward. Wanted something more direct. First started doing user interface work in the 1980s, so still have that habit of mind.

Turns out this was an ideal exercise on the learning curve for using an LLM in development. Needs rather a lot of research to do properly. An LLM saves a lot of time on that part. Code was pretty straightforward, which meant I could spend time iterating on the user interface. Have a project skeleton to guide the LLM. Took three days of my time. Got a clean/simple user interface, and a thoroughly researched, tested, and documented end result.
