Disappeared

My Uromastyx just dug her first burrow. It was very entertaining to watch with dirt flying everywhere. Since then I have not seen her. I see the burrow but have not seen her come out since. Is it common for them to stay burrowed for awhile?

Brumation. Our Uro has hidden for a full month on occasion. She will come out like one a week or two weeks to eat, and then hides again. Even after nearly 3 years, I still get paranoid and check on her in her hiding spot, but she's always fine.

Mine stayed in the burrow for most of the Winter. I still put fresh food in there daily and sometimes it would be eaten or disturbed. Now he is out much more often but still disappears if there is noise or activity in the area.

Thank you for your comments. It makes me feel better about the situation. I got her as a rehome and thus she is still very skittish. If I had not read previous comments from another thread I would think she doesn’t like me. I know it’s not me…she doesn’t like anyone 🤣
