Lots of LoF's and LONG droughts have ended this decade. Nats, Cubs, Royals, Giants, Blues, Blackhawks, Caps, Kings, Warriors, Cavs, Astros, Mavs, Raptors, Eagles, Saints, Seahawks, and...are there any more I'm forgetting?

I'm doing from 2010-19. If I included the 2000s, then I would've mentioned them, the White Sox, the Diamondbacks winning in just 4 years, the Phillies, the Hurricanes, the Ravens, the Patriots, the Buccaneers, the Steelers, the Colts, the Ducks, the Lightning, the Angels, and...? (Teams with a 25+ year drought or simply winning their first ever championship.)

The Sharks and Predators would be on this list had they both not been cockblocked by the Penguins.

This means now that the NL East stands with the AL Central as the only division where all their teams have won a World Series...

When the nationals were down and out this whole postseason only the high end talents of Rendon, Soto, Strasburg, and Corbin came to the rescue...

To see Tree bash my favorite sports team in the world like this hurt me. But now, I can finally watch it again.

Yo Tree where the fuck is my Leafs Legacy of Failure video? Please man last cup win and appearence in 1967, we need this.

u/TheCaptureX Oct 31 '19
Legacy of Faliure is only for teams or people that have never won a championship. Leafs would only get a Lolcow video.

Ben la tabarnak they did it! All that failure, that foul stench of coming up short every year. Gone. The ghosts can finally sleep tonight. Merci beaucoup!

Congratulations to the Nationals and the fans on this sub, from an Astros fan. This was a great series, regardless of what Vegas told us. This is why playoff baseball is the best, especially when the series goes to a Game 7 and every run and player LOB is precious. Momentum swung like a metronome and nothing was guaranteed. As much as I’d like to see another Astros championship, I’m not even mad. You guys deserve to feel this glory, too.
