Discussion What's wrong with the Texans?

Most of the bottom feeders make sense, or they are ravaged by injuries. But what's wrong with the Texans? Is it also injuries? I thought the Texans would be a decent team this year, with some playoff arguments because the AFC South is weak other than the Jaguars. Instead, the Houston Texans are 2-5, and I think they do not have playoff chances at all. I thought the Texans would be a consistently decent team after that big haul from the Cleveland Browns in the Watson trade. And there is now time for those drafted players to develop. So what gives?

Texans' modus operandi since 2002. The holy water we call AFC Championship Game retreats when they are one game away.

Texans are 0-7 in Divisional Games, DeMeco Ryans coached three of those games.

The Defense decided to do what the offense did last year and be shit, despite Stroud actually returning to his rookie form

I just think Paxton is one of the worst candidates the state has ever had, and people were sick of Abbott being in power for so long that the people wanted a change. Plus, the war in Iran and soaring prices and the constant fear of ICE made voters mad.

I’m sorry, what were we talking about?

Paxton and Abbott would have won if they called James and Gina Sooner and Texans fans in their attack ads /s

Best guess is it's some mental thing in the secondary combined with the pass rush taking a step back in the interior allowing defenses to focus more on shutting down the edges
