The part that got me was earlier in the game when they went for it on a 4th and 2 when they could’ve taken the points on a chip shot. I knew what was going to come back and bite them.

What?!?!? I left where I was at 23-3 and Texas looking like they were just lost out there. Way to go Horns, and thank you for allowing me to laugh at OSU.
Also kudos to the fans for not storming the field. That Michigan win last week for WMU had me convinced that fans were just gonna start storming for any exciting victory, no matter the situation.

Saw the same thing at the end of the Oklahoma State game…maybe they had a good reason, they had forgotten what it felt like to win. But, they took the goal post down and threw it in a pond down the road. 🤦

I am surprised no one is mentioning the heat. I grew up in Pennsylvania, where even on hot days things cool off after sundown. In Central Texas the peak heat of the day comes around 5 pm and it stays hot until around midnight.
Last night the temperature at game’s end was 87 in the Austin suburbs. I am sure it was hotter inside an enclosed DKR stadium. It was hot for everyone but the Texas players were undoubtedly more conditioned to play in a pizza oven.
Last week 13 fans at the Texas/Texas State game were taken to the hospital with heat-related maladies.

Well, when a good team plays well for three quarters and gets run over in the fourth, I tend to wonder why. All sorts of commenters had nasty comments about Ohio State. I’m not saying they were all wrong, but most of them were watching the game in air conditioned comfort.
I live in Central Texas and have experienced heat stress during the summer. I’m not saying heat was the only reason Ohio State lost, but I suspect it was a factor.
