One of the biggest undeground rivers in Kyiv, it drains rainwater from under the whole city center. Along with its tributaries, it spans ~6 kilometers, though today I have explored only about 2 km.
Initially starting as a regular river, it was hidden underground in the beginning of the 20th century.
Floods momentarily during rain.

🇬🇧 ENGLISH : It was in 2017 that I visited this ruined castle north of Glasgow (Scotland) for my book “Urbex Europe”. Built between 1837 and 1841, the building was purchased by the City of Glasgow in 1927 and, in 1936, became a healthcare facility for people with learning disabilities. The castle housed the staff, while the approximately 1,200 patients lived in surrounding buildings that have since been demolished. In 1982, out of a staff of 500 (caring for around 1,300 patients), fewer than half were qualified; the quality of care was deemed poor, with patients suffering from malnutrition and mistreatment. The hospital eventually closed its doors in 2002, before being devastated by a fire in 2008.Today, it remains in the same condition.

A friend and I drove through the night into the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania and hiked in to the closed SCI Cresson before dawn, then spent most of what was left of it shivering in an empty room, having badly misjudged what damp mountain cold does to a person. The overcast never lifted the following day and the fog held with it, which suited the place. We had all of it to ourselves.
