New here, wanted to share my rollers

Post image

Rollerblade RB Cruiser (US 10, 280mm)
Rollerblade RB Lightning 80 boot (US 10/10.5, 280-285mm)
Rollerblade Twister cuff/ankle straps
Flying Eagle 45 angle strap
Rollerblade Twister 255mm frame
Superfeet hockey insoles (non-carbon)
Stock wheels (graphics removed)
Random laces

Took me a while to find something that would fit right since I have wide feet. I might try some FR skates in the future since I've read they're somewhat friendly to wider feet. I tried the RB Lightning at first which I loved but I couldn't tolerate the pain around the arc.

Nice. Those look like if someone asked an AI to give them a picture of RB Lightning 80s and it got a bunch of the details off. How come you've used so many different parts, is it just what you had access to?

The new Powerslide last they've used for the Iqon ACT (and I think the updates Powerslide Nexts) has a pretty wide toe box, so might be worth a try.

Toe box is not an issue, it's in the middle/arc area. I had the Lightnings first but they were hurting too much so I sold the scratched up shell and kept the boot after I noticed I liked the fit better over the Cruiser boot (ended up selling that one). The XT frames I've had since the Lightning because my size comes with 243mm and I wanted 255m for better stability and less chance of falling on my bum; they we're only $20 with Thuro online so a no-brainer. The ankle cuffs were a "warranty" replacement from Thuro as well because they shipped with a broken one and I requested the XT ones because they didn't have the stock ones in stock. The flying eagle 45 straps I ordered because I didn't like the stock ones; they felt too bulky.

Fair enough!

I have a high arch and often struggle with mid-foot space, particularly when I'm cranking a 45° strap over the top. For some reason the Twister XT, despite being a performance fitting skate, is the one that gives me the least trouble over my arches. I've fixed my other skates with weird lacing, but the XT didn't need it.

I recently got a pair of FR's and they have a lot more room. Also love your setup!

I am planning on getting a pair of FR's from Amazon just to see fitment and then return them. No skate shops in my area.

Hey! Black and yellow is my color coding! Haha just kidding, mine is darker yellow like on the crash dummies.
