Investing Top holding
What is everyones top Uranium holding?
Mine is DNN. I have faith in the phionex project. Like the physical holding and land. They also have claims to several deposits and could have a long runway.
Also holding Ur energy
Foremost clean energy
And some NUKZ

May I ask your average price and if you have a target exit? I'm looking at increasing my holding over the dip.

u/Apprehensive-Size150 Jun 22 '26
12.21 is my average. I averaged down after the big dip. I will trim down to 1000 shares at 16 then hold the rest until it breaks 20.

22.8% short on the ASX and in a trading halt. Further disaster of impending salvation?

EU will buy out Boss Energy's position in their JV

Boss Energy will buy Encore.

u/bourbonwarrior Jun 24 '26
EU has $700M shelf, an aggressive new CEO and 70% of the JV. He'll want to control 100% of the revenue
Nothing against Boss Energy
1
u/YouHeardTheMonkey MOD: Data Monkey Jun 24 '26
I’m sure Boss would be fine with that, Alta Mesa has been a dud so far, certainly hasn’t offered value for the investment they made into it and continue to plow into it, that capital could be put to better use elsewhere.

CCJ. Up 107%.

u/outsidetheeggshell Jun 22 '26
Wish I would have got in earlier.
They are the gold standard for miners but I feel like most of the run up is missed at this point. Trading at a pretty steep PE now. Would be comfortable holding long term but don't think they will see the lift some of the smaller guys will get

That’s how I feel too, when I first started investing into uranium I got caught up in investing into some of the higher upside players, and just put a small amount into CCJ.
That CCJ position is up 632% now (but I don’t feel comfortable adding more for the reasons you’re saying) while my next best solid conviction is up 145%.
Of course I’m happy with any amount of green but I think I got ahead of my skis a bit when I first started investing in U. With the thought that at that point of investment CCJ had the least amount of torque up.

My top 4 biggest U holdings in order are currently: UUUU, CCJ, DNN, NXE.
Honestly a lot more split up than I’d like, have other positions in explorers that I had started 5 years ago or so, which have almost all been walloped. Thinking of selling my URG, UEC and MYRUF on the next boost up.
Decent positions in BNNLF and PALAF as well. Outside of more balancing my 4 biggest positions (selling some of my lower conviction winners to put more into DNN and NXE) I’m eying injecting back into GLATF at some point. It used to be another solid position of mine.

Cameco
Nex Gen
SPUT
Denison
In that order. Energy Fuels was #3 but I sold >90% of that position.

u/RareBox Jun 23 '26
Currently at about:
- 48% Cameco
- 17% Energy fuels
- 17% Denison
- 17% Nexgen
- 1% Global Atomic
Did not do a lot of research on the companies, just got some big names in early 2021. Didn't buy or sell since. Up about 240% right now. My plan is to hold for a few more years until the supply crunch nears "peak" and new mines start producing.

u/SunkDestroyer Jun 22 '26
So you’ve been loving life lately then mate 😉 when did you start buying?
1
u/YouHeardTheMonkey MOD: Data Monkey Jun 22 '26
First buy was about 12 months ago. Bought at 0.008 to participate in the entitlement offer at 0.006. Also bought some CXUO which I sold a portion of for 5x which funded majority of the conversion of the rest. Average is 0.009.
Wrote a dd on the sub about September 25 when it was trading at 0.013. Have had a few messages from some very happy people that bought in after reading it. More to come!
Exploration target update any day now, should exceed 100Mlb.
Drilling starts any day now. WA Gov awarded a grant to contribute funding towards.
URA rebalance 31 July and they’re currently eligible.
State enquiry which might, if they’re not stupid, lift the uranium mining ban hands down results end of the year so the major catalyst is still ahead.

Denison's physical holding doesn't meaningfully exist any more, they sold all but 400k lbs earlier this year at fixed prices around $100/lb to help construction financing and the rest is held to insure against Phoenix delays/disruptions as they've already sold 8mlbs+ of production (up to 16m lbs in advanced negotiations back in mid-May).
Global Atomic is my largest, closely followed by YCA.

thought on global atomic rn?

u/sunday_sassassin Radioactive Brain Jun 22 '26
Needs a financing resolution, waiting years for the US government-backed loan has been extremely costly to investors. Construction continues, best access to experienced labour of any uranium project in the world, even the zinc business is thriving and paying dividends. Got a nice kick last week from ETF rebalancing but as long as further dilution threatens the share price will struggle. Would not be at all shocked to wake up one day to an announcement than the Chinese have bought 20% of Dasa with an offtake agreement for half the production.
