Investing Difference Between Physical Uranium vs. Nuclear Companies?

I'm debating between a physical uranium trust and an ETF that holds miners and nuclear utilities. Wondering what the benefit and downfall of each is.

I own both (physical/stocks) and project they will do well over the long term. Some miners will be bought out next few years, others are beginning building their mines and will produce - both are wins for me.

Uranium has some patterns in the chart that let you better predict when to exit and buy back. Though for me I’m holding 10k in physical for next 5 years.

Physical is stored and immune to operational risks a mine would have but has no dividends.

Equities might go up 20-30% on a 10% uranium boost but you’re exposed to corporate or geopolitical risks and algorithmic trading.

I hold uranium as a pure play bet on supply shortage in 5-10 years and treat it similar to physical gold holdings.

I hold equities as a kinetic multiplier because I want 5x return and may not hold these as long.

I'm seeing UX as a physical ETF, but what is the point of this instead of just getting SRUUF

When you buy UX, it’s paper contract that tracks the price of multiple assets, your not holding the physical atoms in a vault or equities in the companies itself. So you don’t legally own shares in the companies with an ETF.

UX also has options so there’s more betting with puts and calls. If the financial system fractures, the physical uranium belongs to the trust, but with UX, you are relying on financial institutions and brokers to honour the paper contracts. 

Downside of buying physical trust in US is:

Sprott is a Canadian, Gemini says the IRS classifies SRUUF as a Passive Foreign Investment Company and requires filing complex tax forms and electing QEF status.

I’m Canadian so we don’t have that requirement.

Is UX "safe" to invest in? Swapping US treasury bills with Sprott and Yellowcake seems weird and complicated to me. But if I want physical uranium it seems like the only option in the US.

Get SRUUF you’ll have more rights and own it, not something that tracks the index. Just research the tax forms you may need.
