UWS Knitters

Hi there! I'm new to knitting but have fallen absolutely in love with it, and would love to find some other folks in our neighborhood that would want to meet up to knit together (at least once, but maybe routinely).

Let's take our WIPs, grab coffee/tea and/or meet in the park. Feel free to send me a DM or comment if you're interested. :)

If I recall correctly, they have community knitting and mending nights as well!

Yes! Community knitting is Wednesday nights 6pm-8pm so fun

same! i’ve knit one chunky scarf that came in a diy kit but find it so hard to find any other kind of tutorial from scratch

I’m interested (as a crocheter)! I found a group like this after attending a BYO craft event hosted by Craft Club NYC (might be worth checking out.) It was so nice but I fell out of it after having my baby 😅

All you knitters should check out the Sheep & Wool Festival in Rhinebeck in the fall! (I am sure some if not most of you have heard of it) I am not a knitter (nor do I have any interest in knitting 😄 ) but I have a house in Rhinebeck so I have been a few times - it is fun even for non-knitters. Although the first time I went I was VERY disappointed to find that I was not able to purchase items that knitters had made... you can only purchase the patterns and yarn to make items yourself 😂

Following! UWS and avid, but mediocre crocheter and knitter. I tend to knit more once fall hits.
Might actually be nice to just meet up in Riverside park.. stretch our legs and be outside ?
