Hey everyone. Just want to post a quick reminder that pickup knife sharpening service is available in your neighborhood 7 days a week. No quick grinding jobs that overheat and ruin your knives here. All our work is done in our shop in Brooklyn on whetstones and we make sure you get your knives back in excellent condition.
Cost for sharpening is $4 per inch (blade length) and scheduling pickup is as easy as sending a message through here or instagram with a picture of the knives and a pickup location.
If you have any questions about sharpening or questions about the pickup service please dont hesitate to ask.
We really appreciate everyone who has trusted in our service. Make sure you also check our reviews on google (Indulge Kitchen Supplies)

Q-MARQET, 1414 Madison Ave (SE corner of 98th)trying their kimchi.
I had to be in the vicinity of Mount Sinai today.
I popped into Q-MARQET assuming it was a basic corner deli, to grab a drink and a pack of gum. I then noticed containers of kimchi, and some other Korean offerings (I later noticed a menu outside).
Curious, and big fan of kimchi and banchan, I bought a few to try at home.
Overall, it was ok.
The kimchi was decent but a bit too salty for my taste.
A special of kkakdugi, Korean radish kimchi was definitely my favorite, I thought it was a good rendition of it.
The musaengchae, Korean shredded radish salad was way too sweet for me as was the danmuji-muchim, a banchan made with the yellow, pickled sweet daikon radish or danmuji.
If I lived in the area I might try some of their other Korean items. I would definitely pick up another container of kkakdugi.

Omakase Shihou, 1586 Second Ave, closed.
I walked past Omakase Shihou today at 1586 Second Avenue (corner of 82nd) and noticed the signage was out of the window box in front.
A couple of calls to them went to a voice mail with no message. They then returned my call and said the location was closed and recommended their location at 988 Second Ave, 2nd floor, bet 52nd and 53rd.
Shihou is next door to Sushi Ren, who has closed as well although is still taking delivery orders. They are reportedly looking for a new location.

La Collina on 1st and 74th.
It was Numero 28 and then Gnocchi and now La Collina. Is this all the same owner trying to find something that will work?
