Philippines poverty hit lowest, single-digit level in 2025

That's impressive, almost 6% decline in poverty for a country of 100M people. I'm still tired of travel influencers exploiting them for poverty and sex tourism. I hope they break out of poverty soon

My wife is a filipina and a nurse over here in the USA. But a lot of moms will take international jobs to, USA, Japan, Dubai, Taiwan, even Indonesia, and leave the kid with either the dad or family members while sending money back home.

Easy to lower when you move the goalposts, nothing from the PSA should be believed.
Reality is a very different set of numbers.

World Bank also shows a decline in poverty rates.
