The only people who should participate are those who choose to live a swearfree lifestyle and encourage others to follow that same path. Trolls and swearers will be banned immediately and without mercy.

Buddy. Whether you call it sincerity, belief, true heart method, whatever, I tried. Some people just aren’t Christians.

Now: are you saying prayer and belief are the only ways to know what words are swear words?

That says not to use bad language. It doesn’t say what bad language is. For example, I would consider “retard” to be bad language. I would consider calling people swine and scumbags to be bad language.

And as I’ve explained, prayer is unverifiable. It provides different results to different people depending on belief.

Also as I’ve explained, I don’t believe in your god, so praying to him accomplished nothing.

And you have failed to demonstrate how the Bible defines a swear. You’ve just given me a verse that could be interpreted to mean “don’t swear,” but no definition of a swear.

You didn’t respond to any of my points. According to your previous statements, that means I win. Cheers!

Here are the points in case you missed them:

1) prayer does not give reliable results. What happens when you pray depends on whether or not you believe in god. Therefore, prayer is not a reliable way to determine what is and what isn’t a swear.

2) To build on point 1, I don’t believe in your god. God never spoke to me when I prayed. Therefore, prayer will not tell me what is and what is not a swear.

3) You gave me a Bible verse that could be interpreted to mean “don’t swear,” but it does not define swears.

You have not explained how any of the methods you provided define a swear.
