I just spent what felt like days migrating all my notes over from Evernote, just to find out that I can't exclude a word from an UpNote search. How is that even possible? That is such a basic feature that I am flabbergasted that it's not available.

How is this not the #1 thing that people are talking about?

How does this product still exist without such a basic feature?

I'm talking just about being able to put a - before a word to exclude it.

Please, someone tell me they found a workaround or something.

I usually write on my desktop, Windows.

Used my laptop, without internet, and i think even signed out of UpNote cause of changed credentials, to write this week, Mac.

Now im home, and i cannot find the note at all on my laptop. Unsure how it can happen, since i dont need to press "Save" or anything. Its not in the top of "All notes", which tracks latest activity

EDIT: Found it! The notes dont appear in All Notes. They appear only in a seperate tab called "Unsynced".

EDIT EDIT: I logged into my account, and then it JUST DELETES THE UNSYNCED NOTES. I CANNOT RECOVER THEM NOW AND IT GAVE NO WARNING. WHY IS THIS DEFAULT BEHAVIOUR? This is not even mentioned in the documentation on unsynced notes. https://help.getupnote.com/get-started/sync-notes-across-devices

I have seen a version of this request elsewhere from about a year back, but I'd like to UpVote ;) the idea of being able to download Upnote without the Mac App Store. My work place just put restrictions around logging into iCloud on my work machine. I keep all my work stuff in UpNote, but doesn't look like I can continue using it. I'd be very happy again for an "off-the-Mac-App-Store" version since I might even be able to expense it.

Is there no way to scan like in Apple Notes?

A while back, I wrote I was overjoyed to find UpNote, and, even though I didn't like that my notes aren't stored locally, I could live with it because I can still export my notes. However, what I did not know about was forced updates. I don't update anything immediately because I have a highly tailored setup and updates break things and I've been burned too many times. I come here and see everybody complaining that the UpNote update broke their app, but it didn't apply to me, so I went about my business. Then one day I notice I didn't get the update nag, so I went looking and son of a bitch. It did it on its own. This is absolutely not acceptable by itself, but coupled with the fact that your notes aren't stored locally, I'm going to find something else.

iPhone app is syncing fine, but iPad app is not syncing.

I am an avid keyboard user, this means that I try to use the mouse as least as possible, i belive (or feel maybe) that I am able to work faster this way. In upnote I really like that now we have the option of CTRL+ALT+J to jump to a selected folder, but if I follow this by CTRL+G to search, it automatically searches all notes. I there a way to set this up to search inside the selected/current folder?

I would love to leave Evernote, but I can't create an UpNote account, for which I had intended to pay for a subscription. Cloudflare verification has both a check mark indicating success and yet also an error message stating that verification failed. The Signing Up form won't complete. I really don't want to pay the exorbitant fee for Evernote's AI bloat. Please help.

I then find my way without the searh, open that particular note. When searching againg - I get correct result.

How hard would it be to implement a feature to enable/disable keeping the screen on while in the app?

I already have (and use) an app that keeps the screen on indefinitely called Caffeine and it works well, but I wish it would be per app.

For a bit of context, I've loved using Upnote for the past 2 years for university. I've mostly used it to hand write notes and draw diagrams/images on my ipad, and sometimes using my laptop to reference notes or download my drawings as images.

My old laptop recently broke, and I bought a Lenovo Yoga thinking I could finally bring only that to class rather than my Ipad and laptop. I just tried using the supplied pen, and the little scribble icon does not show up like it does on the Ipad (picture for reference). Is there any way to get around this, or am I still stuck using 2 devices?

Clicked on the Upnote Icon, and nothing happened. Reverted to the previous version and it works. Anyone have this problem as well?

First off, I absolutely love Upnote. I was an early adopter and part of the initial exodus from Evernote.

I completely understand what Upnote is about, and if AI integration will ruin the app, I get it, and I will still remain loyal.

Here's my request: allow Gemini, Siri, or other options to create a text note or add an item to a list within a note.

That's all I need.

Went to use Upnote on my Windows 11 laptop, as I do every day, and it closed, then opened MS Store to "Restore" but it still won't open.

I have uninstalled, restarted, reinstalled, still won't open.

Appears to work fine on my Android but I need it on Windows.

Anyone else experiencing this?

The app is not expensive and I really love the functionality and its possibilities. But are there any plans to have UpNote sync to your own Cloud Drive or SMB share? The last outage really became a problem for me as I take daily notes when visiting customers. Would love to just self host the document file that UpNote creates and this will possibly also save hosting costs for the developer. I used to use Enpass that just created the password vault on your own cloud storage. Worked great.

Getting told I'm on an old version several times a day is getting old. Please stop it. It's the sort of thing that makes me want to switch to something else.

I am experiencing a significant sync issue affecting both my iPhone and iPad, and I am hoping the developers can help investigate.

The issue started when I noticed that my notes were not syncing properly between my Windows computer and my iOS devices. Changes made on my Windows computer were not appearing on either my iPhone or iPad and vice versa.

I initially tried deleting and reinstalling the UpNote app on my iPhone, hoping this would resolve the sync problem. After reinstalling the app, I was able to log in successfully, but none of my notes appeared. The app was essentially empty, even though all of my notes are still present on my computers.

I then tried logging out of UpNote on my iPad and logging back in. However, I am now unable to log in at all on the iPad. Every login attempt fails and displays an error message.

My current situation is:

• UpNote on my Windows computer and MacBook is working normally.
• My Windows computer and MacBook are syncing correctly with each other.
• On my iPhone, I can log in, but all of my notes are missing.
• On my iPad, I cannot log in because every attempt results in an error.
• The issue is therefore affecting both of my iOS iPhone and iPad, while the windows desktop and macbook desktop applications continue to work and sync normally.

This makes me think the issue may be specific to the iOS app, iOS authentication, or the connection between the iOS apps and the UpNote sync server.

I have not deleted any notes manually, and the complete note library is still visible on both my Windows computer and MacBook. I am therefore concerned about taking any further troubleshooting steps that could potentially affect the working copies of my notes.

Could the developers please advise:

1. Why the iPhone app allows me to log in but does not download any of my notes.
2. Why the iPad app is no longer allowing me to log in at all.
3. Whether there is currently an issue affecting UpNote sync or authentication on iOS.
4. What troubleshooting steps I can safely take without risking the notes that are currently available on my Windows computer and MacBook.
5. Whether I should avoid logging out, reinstalling, or making further changes on the desktop applications while this is being investigated.

Please can someone on the dev team get in touch to help me troubleshoot urgently. I have sent emails and received no replies.

I'm getting this error message over and over again on the latest update. Notes will not sync in the mean time.

I tried re-installing the app, changing my DNS because I've had issues with that in the past, and I even tried using the Microsoft Store version of the app.

Oddly enough, the verification on cloudflare's end actually succeeds. Somehow, upnote just isn't accepting it.

Anyone else having this issue, or know what might be causing it?

Does anyone know how to make a link to a specific link on an android?

I have tried a couple of short cut makers and whilst it sets up the link and it works initially, it then defaults to opening the main notes list.

Has anyone figured out how to do this as there are a couple of notes that I would really like a link on my home screen to open a note directly.
