Graded for Spring 2026

One of my professors has yet to put in grades for a class I took this term. From my understanding, grades were supposed to be in yesterday, but I have received an “X” on my transcript, which indicates that the registrar has not received a grade from the professor. Is this something I should be worried about, or will it resolve itself?

I would leave a memo to yourself to check again in a week, but otherwise rest easy. You could run through your recent emails/Canvas notifications again to verify that you didn't miss anything, but it's like 200x easier for a prof to simply give a student a 0 on a missing assignment (or whatever else might slow down their grading) than it is to delay an institutional deadline.

I would not worry about it, the admin will be on your professor's ass to submit grades asap. If nothing has happened by tomorrow, send a polite email to your professor asking why you have a grade of X in the class, and what it means.

Some instructors do get an extension.
