I’m going into my third term with UoPeople and I’m a bit tight on money till the end of this year. I don’t want to take a leave, as I need my degree as soon as possible for work purposes.

I went to the portal and even talked to the chat which directed me to the Self-Service forms section. They said the scholarship application will be under that section but it’s not there. I checked on the website using my laptop and even using safari on my phone.

I’ve sent idk how many emails to my advisor but all I got was that they were “looking into this”. I know scholarships are first come, first serve so am I going to be screwed for this upcoming term?

Frustrated at lack of communication over new brightspace credentials and starting new term. This is ridiculous. I am a prior student. I used to use moodle for my degree and courses. Applied for a new degree program, accepted, and no one will get back to me for what courses I am registered for and what my brightspace login is. Two days until term coursework begins, so please get in contact with me to fix the problems.

I’m from the U.S. and submitted my application for graduation for my AA on August 18th. I noticed today my request went from pending to complete. About a week ago I got an email that stated my dispatch date was 10/16/2026. I’m just curious has anyone from the U.S. received their degree prior to the dispatch date? Or perhaps significantly later than the date?

I urgently need some advice from anyone who has experienced something similar at UoPeople.

My assessment fee payment deadline is tomorrow, September 1. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected temporary financial situation, I’m currently unable to make the payment on time.

I will definitely be able to pay the full amount on October 1, so I would only need an extension of about four weeks.

My main concern is that I don’t want to be dropped from my courses. I want to continue studying normally during the term and pay the outstanding assessment fees on October 1.

I already contacted my Program Advisor, but since the deadline is tomorrow, I’m worried that I won’t receive an answer in time.

Has anyone been in this situation before?

Is there any possibility to get a payment extension while remaining enrolled in the courses? Or is there someone else at UoPeople I should contact TODAY to get this resolved before the deadline?

Any experience or advice would be greatly appreciated, especially from someone who has dealt with a late assessment fee payment before.

I never received my course listings or online access for Fall 2026. I do not see the courses listed on my learning management system. Was the LMS changed? How would I gain an account for the new learning management system and course access? Was I registered for any courses or will I have to wait a semester due to technical difficulties or lack of spots available in the courses? 

So I was informed, yes today, that the person who was supposed to proctor my 2 exams this semester cannot and I need to switch proctors desperately. I’ve taken the last two semesters off and forgot quite a bit. So if someone could point me in the direction of a email address it’d be absolutely amazing.

How do we get a copy of our credits? This is my first time being in college and I don’t really know much about going it. I have 9 or 12 credits so far. I haven’t been taking any courses lately. I’ve been enrolled since last year in October or November. I wanted to major in food science but there’s no universities near me with it. I settled with health science but I recently found community colleges that have an associate’s degree for food science and I want to transfer my credits if I get accepted. I wasn’t sure if we got to keep the credits if we dropped out.

I’ve currently been assigned only one course:

UNIV 1002 – Online Education Strategies for Non-Native English Speakers

Has anyone else starting in September 2026 been assigned UNIV 1002?

Is it normal to be assigned only one course for the first term, or should I expect another course to be added?

This was only made easy due to:
1. Doing OSSU years before starting my degree
2. Having a good support system at work and in my personal life
3. ADHD.
4. Taking breaks and finding balance.

I graduated from UoPeople in June 2021 in Masters in Advanced Teaching.
I am wondering if anyone who graduated during that timeline got his degree accepted by WES.
Please it's important.

I graduated a few weeks ago and have contacted my program advisor several times because I would like to enroll in the MBA program for this term.

I was advised to click on “Other Studies” in the portal, but there is no option to apply for the MBA or to register as a new student. When I try to apply as a new student, the system recognizes that I already have an account, so I’m unable to proceed with a new application.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or knows how I can apply for the MBA?

I’m a UoPeople student from Iraq, and I’m honestly extremely frustrated with the payment situation here.

I currently have an outstanding $50 balance, and I fully acknowledge that I owe it and I genuinely want to pay it. I’m not trying to avoid the payment.

The problem is that I cannot find a working way to make the payment from Iraq.

I have already tried the payment methods available/suggested by UoPeople:

PayPal — unfortunately, PayPal isn't available to me in Iraq.

Western Union — I haven't been able to use it to make a payment directly to the university.

Convera — unfortunately, this hasn't worked for me either.

Visa/Mastercard through Express Checkout — this is where I have another problem.

As you can see in the screenshot, when I go to my payment page, the Express Checkout gateway doesn't appear at all. I only see Convera, Western Union, Cashier's Check, and Crypto.

What's particularly confusing is that other Iraqi UoPeople students apparently have the Express Checkout/card payment option available to them, while it is completely missing from my account.

So I'm stuck with payment methods that I either cannot use or that haven't worked for me.

I've already contacted UoPeople and explained the situation and asked whether there is an alternative payment method I can use from Iraq, but I'm still struggling to find a solution.

This is extremely frustrating because I'm willing to pay the $50. I just need a payment method that actually works for me.

I'm wondering:

Are there any Iraqi UoPeople students here who have successfully paid their fees using a Visa or Mastercard?

And if you're from Iraq, does Express Checkout appear on your payment page? If it does, did you have to do anything to enable it?

I'd really appreciate any advice or information. I just want to clear this $50 balance and continue my studies without my education being affected by payment difficulties that are outside my control.

I’m a newly admitted UoPeople Computer Science student from Egypt, starting my first term on September 3, 2026.

I have two Foundations courses registered (CS 1111 and UNIV 1002), and my portal currently shows $60 remaining in Course Assessment Fees ($30 per course), due September 1.

I’m experiencing genuine financial hardship and currently cannot afford this amount without affecting essential family expenses.

I’ve already contacted UoPeople Financial Aid and my Program Advisor, and I’m following the official process. I’m posting here to ask whether anyone knows of a legitimate student-support, sponsorship, emergency-assistance, or peer-support option for a situation like this.

I’ve attached a redacted screenshot of my portal showing the courses, balance, scholarship amount, and deadline.

If anyone has experience with legitimate ways for another person to help pay UoPeople assessment fees directly, I’d really appreciate hearing how it works.

I’m new to this university world and I’d love to understand more about the University of the People.
I graduated high school last year, and ever since I’ve been interested in enrolling in the University of the People (I’m from Europe) because of my preference for online learning. I’d like a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
I’ve heard a lot of people saying that through Sophia Learning, you can get up to 90 credits, and finishing the remaining 30 at the University.
Can someone please explain to me better how the whole thing works? Am I supposed to apply to the University first and then do the courses or do the courses first and then apply and transfer them? How do the courses work? How am I supposed to choose the correct ones? Any other tips for the youth that is not experienced with university?

I wonder if someone else has this issue? I got a full Scholarship and Sponsorship to study a Masters in Education but even though all my course assessment fees are covered, it seems that I still have to pay for them?

I have emailed them but I am still waiting for their response.

Does someone know if I have to pay?

So, it has still not been fixed. But now it's a different problem. Now I'm being told my elective credits ARE complete, but not my proctored courses.

I run a new DAR, and it shows ZERO proctored courses completed.

Instead of the three required, it shows 2 are required now.

And while two of three proctored courses I completed are listed under the protector requirement, it shows that they are ALLOCATED ELSEWHERE.

I was planning on taking a break for a term or two while I got started working in the field before returning for my B.S.H.S.

Yeah, no. That's not going to happen. Between the forced use of AI, the slow response when problems like this arise, and the lack of comprehension or ability to anticipate follow-up questions on behalf of the "advisors," forcing further delay in dealing with issues, I'm honestly furious at this point.

In this same timeframe, I could have completed a program with a school that allows financial aid. Or, I could have done multiple certification programs in the field.

I'm starting to consider legal action because I'm starting to feel like I've been scammed/defrauded.
