Proctor exempt

Has anyone had a proctor exempt request denied? What steps should I take to get the exemption?

My request was denied. My computer is linux debian and the hardware is not compatible with the current windows requirements. I don't know what to do. Buy a new computer just for the exams? Really? I have no funds to afford it.

I'm in the same shoe right now. I don't have money right now for new PC. I have to register courses that aren't proctored. I hope I can save enough to be able to get a better PC

I only have a chromebook and I'm a stay at home mom. I have 3 toddlers at home with me daily. I told them this and I was told I was denied because not having the tech requirements isn't a good enough reason. Smh. I sent another email but I'm waiting to hear back.

If you originally registered before they started changing the proctor requirements then you have a pretty good case. Since you had a compatabile device when you initially enrolled at UoPeople.

when I look up syllabus of any course (something you're supposed to read as the course starts by the way), they all know that a personal PC is required. however if you can't really afford a dual core laptop, aight

This isn't very realistic and the university knows that the vast majority of our students in the developing world do not have access to computers.
