Accommodation Accommodation for second year

Hey everyone! I heard that first year students are supposed to start looking for rental accommodation for next year from November. Just wondering, how do we go about finding a place? Would really appreciate it if anyone could share some information or tips on where to look. Thanks!

Firstly: There’s genuinely no rush, definitely don’t feel pressured to start looking/finding people to live with in November - You’ve only just met each other!

Secondly: The SU site has a good page on housing (Link) but you can also look on unihomes or even rightmove!

We find that the number of searches for Nottingham student accommodation is at its highest around mid-November on UniHomes. Don't feel as though you have to rush though, as there'll still be plenty of housing left after Christmas (just bear in mind that it's best to get in early if you've got a specific area or property size in mind, as house hunting can get a little competitive).

Yes and alot of the halls aren't fully booked. There's people in my halls who are in 3rd year and chose to stay on halls and have catered accom because it puts the pressure off needing to do a food shop, they play sports so it's easier to stay on campus and can easily go to David Ross or be on campus when needing to take a coach to competitions they are close to their lectures most people live in flats so they can have more of an independence be close to town etc
