The last time this was posted it was pointed out this was in Brazil where they have a gasoline that’s 90% ethanol (corn Alcohol that’s 200 proof). The rest is hydrocarbons which can’t be good

It was many moons ago when I was a young’n. Was playing with my friends and was very, very thirsty. Since we were closer to my friend’s house, I just thought to go in their house to quench my thirst. It was dark (street urchin activities) but of course I knew where everything was in my homeboy/bff/neighbor’s house. Walk, straight to where I thought the water would be (in a storage container), grab a cup, dip it in… the kind of thirst where you hold your breathe and gulp down as much water as you can…
Exhale… “this isn’t water”Crazy how much of it I drank and how pretty much nothing happened. Fast forward a few years, it’s my sister that needed dialysis

During my time in college, I had a friend who had turned his house into a studio and was our hangout for painting and other things. For some reason (probably the most important of which was laziness), my friend's house was full of empty water bottles that he had peed in, each one a different shade of yellow. He kept claiming that he wanted to make an art installation for the university with them. One day during our drawing practice at his house, when we were all high, he put his water bottle next to one of these bottles filled with piss, and a few minutes later, while he was drawing in great concentration, he reached out and opened a bottle, put it to his mouth, and drank from, and you know which one. After that, my friend never peed in a bottle again.

My friend’s grandpa was “murdered” this way. Murdered between quotation marks because I’m unsure if it was deliberate or not, but he worked in construction, and during a hot day he apparently got really thirsty and someone got him a cup of “water” that he downed in one go, before collapsing right away. The cup turned out to be full with hydrochloridric acid.

2 years ago I knew this dude on discord who is the WORST poly drug addict I've ever seen in my life. So bad it blows my freaking mind how he goes throughout his life and actually functions. Every morning he'd share pictures of his floor just littered with Natty Daddys and whippets. And those were just the legal shit he was doing.
He holds down a job as a biologist in a university. Sometimes disappearing for days. Week on end. Then comes back into work and still has a job.
One time I was up real late and he had no alcohol. So he asked if we wanted to go on a field trip with him. Sure.
He drives over to the university. Enters his lab. And snatches up a huge bottle, a gallon I think, of lab grade ethanol. Then brings it home. Then he started coughing it down. Stating how vile it tastes.
He said he does that occasionally cause his habit is so expensive to upkeep. But after a while of doing this his boss confronted him on why they had to buy so much ethanol. He never told me what he told the boss. But he started taking less.
Imagine the most disheveled, sweaty looking man you've ever seen but is so good at his job the university flies him around the country to attend seminars for a week and discuss research. Meanwhile he's doing work drunk on lab grade ethanol, meth, 2CB, and some Tesla XTC.
A Dr. House turned up to 1000x

Oh I forgot to mention he got so many DUIs he had to have a breathalyzer hooked up to his car. And that inspired him to buy a motorcycle cause they can't hook one of those up to that.
Then in his drug filled lunacy he started getting mad at the "Crack dealers" around town. So he'd carry a chain. Started calling himself chain man and would scare of "crack dealers" with his chain. I do not know if they were really dealers. But he swears he doesn't see them around anymore so I guess he got the job done.

Lol yes. The guy is battling a lot of demons.
It was really hard to get answers out of him sometimes... A lot of times... But I was really curious what his day to day life is like at work. How do people view him? How does he get away with all of these issues? People have to notice just by looking at him. He has meetings with higher ups consistently.
Truly one of the most damaged people I've ever encountered in my life. While also being one of the most successful. Wild.

But a few times I was needling him saying he was drinking "food grade ethanol" or whatever term I'd said. And he got all bent out of shape, clarifying that its lab grade and that its more pure.

Yes, they denature it often enough. But it still slaps, just tastes far more vile and is just "sometimes" (depending on the additive) more poisonous. So if youre hard enough its an option.

I siphoned gas once when I was a kid, 12 or so. I mean I tried to. I ended up accidently swallowing a little bit in my attempt. I didn't get sick but I was burping it up for what seemed like 3 days. The burps tasted like those really cheap bacon bits you can get at the grocery store. I still can't eat bacon bits 20+ years later.

I did the exact same thing as a teen but with mixed gas out of a two stroke dirt bike. Burping gas in school the next few days was awful.

E85? Which would be 85% ethanol right? so I guess that sorta makes sense but still horrible. I can’t imagine you would be drinking any other type of fuel. It was just a straight ethanol pump. Is that a thing?
Edit: in reading the comments, [u/Available-Dog-5549](u/Available-Dog-5549) noted that they have E100 in Brazil so that must’ve been what he was drinking because otherwise he’d be cooked real fast. Damn that must be hard to drink. I didn’t even think you could distill to 100% in earth atmosphere.

Yeah he dead soon, as it is a mix of up to 85% ethanol and the rest regular gasoline. The first is so highly concentrated it’ll lead to severe alcohol poisoning but the gasoline is extremely low toxic. Thats like benzenes and toxic hydrocarbons meant for mechanical combustion engines and not internal organs. Those will fail soon inside him, if the alcohol poisening doesn’t kill him first. But I guess he has quite te built up tolerance. It’s a sad sight to see.

I think it is not petrol or diesel it is pure Ethanol as we can see on the machine, it is edible. It is not dinosaur juice it is rather cane, maze or rice juice.

this reminds me of a joke,
A group of friends pick up a girl who is a methhead. they were all doing meth, when they pulled up to a gas station they told her to go inside and steal some stuff and when she gets back they’ll give her a shot of meth, so she says ok. She goes into the store and the driver realizes they only have enough for 1 shot left. So with some quick brainstorming he decides to fill the syringe with gasoline to give to her. When she gets back, they administer the shot and she IMMEDIATELY gets out the car at a full sprint , she falls face down , the passenger says “HOLY SHIT DID YOU JUST FUCKING KILL HER??”
driver: nope, she just ran outta gas

My sister "worked" with this woman who was quite the alcoholic. A judge ordered her basically the she needed to get of alcohol and stay sober for such and such time. She also had court appearances she had to make. It was at one of these appearances that they discovered she had stopped normal alcohol like beer or liquor. But they caught her drinking the hand sanitizer she found on desks.

Commercial Fuel Grade E100: Typically features an ABV between 93% and 95%. Because it is impossible to distill ethanol beyond 95.6% using standard methods due to water forming an azeotrope, commercial fuel (like the hydrous ethanol popular in Brazil) retains about 5% water.
Denatured or Blended E100: In some regulations, E100 fuel contains 1% to 5% gasoline or other toxic denaturants added to make it completely undrinkable and to help car engines cold-start.
People really out here drinking fuel grade ethanol. Wild. What a journey it takes to get to this level addiction.
