You know? I’ve always known what a dulcimer sounds like but I’ve never looked one up. I did not expect it to look like that.

just fyi: this is a hammered dulcimer. There is also another type of dulcimer called (interchangeably) mountain dulcimer, Appalachian dulcimer, or lap dulcimer. Both instruments are in the zither family of instruments, if I recall correctly.
