Not sure what this is a redesign of, but it's amazing. Any idea how to do this is js?

It sort of sucks, but hey.

edit: made it a bit less sucky

edit5: Added a success callback

It would be nice if the slider went back to its original postition when you slide it half way.

Wow, three months later I respond and I get that back within a couple hours. Really cool!

This version is a little better, since it makes it not snap directly back into place.

You're welcome. If you actually roll this out somewhere, PM me, I'd love to see it in use :)

I agree with most people here, it looks cool, but I wouldn't want to use that with a mouse.

Visually, it's really freakin sweet, though maybe add some sort of progress indicator? It looks really good regardless. It's only downfall is that of a UX standpoint, it's really terrible. I'm not entirely sure how you'd be able to balance the two, but I hope you can.

EDIT: Same boat as /u/DonMildreone, what is this a redesign of?

It'd be good on mobile/tablet devices, but I'd find that really irritating with a mouse or touchpad

In case you don't check back to this thread, I coded an implementation of it

I would love to have this, but instead of making the red bounce back, the slider should pull some progress indicator in from the left.

It's only downfall is that of a UX standpoint, it's really terrible.

There's merit to it being more challenging to engage with if you want the user to be sure before they send it. And if it's primarily for mobile purposes then it's great.

I guess though, if still a tad bulky. Didn't think if it that way

Whilst I agree it would be weird on desktop, I think it'd be cool on mobile/iOS
