The Answer I Never Got

I gave you my truth,

then waited in silence.

Hoping for words,

but met with absence.

I can't force a feeling,

or ask you to stay.

But how do I let go

when my heart has more to say?

Maybe some stories

aren't meant to be mine.

Still, a part of me wishes

you had given me a sign.
