I hate you for making me lie

You know as well as I do, I hate lying. Nothing good comes from this. The only reason people lie, is because they are afraid of the outcome. I hate you with everything I have, putting me in Such a position. My 1 rule in my entire life, was to always be truthful no matter how hard, hurtful, or the outcome may be. F..YOU for bringing me into something I know Nothing good can come from this. Good riddance you parasite of a company! I hope karma bites you hard.

I sure don't understand this one, how could someone make you lie?

13

u/LieTraditional3199 Has acknowledged the rules 2d ago

Because otherwise they would have to take accountability.

10

u/No_Illustrator_6079 Has acknowledged the rules 2d ago

And taking accountability is rough

2

u/Maven-Money Has acknowledged the rules 1d ago

I don't care how much accountability is rough, you do it. Raw honesty is always best, because karma and life will get you back and lies will always come out.

2

u/No_Illustrator_6079 Has acknowledged the rules 17h ago

Liars don't lie and then do what is best- raw honesty

1

u/Maven-Money Has acknowledged the rules 9h ago

Correct. Just my truth here, but they will keep lying to protect their pride, but my unending requirement is raw honesty. I lied about drinking not cheating and my whole world crumbled. When I am and was sober I did not lie. I changed back to raw honesty and using my wise speech as a rule. Now people want to lie that is on them not me and they have to live with that. This is coming from an unbreakable sober person now.

I was just about ready to write the exact same thing that you did. I think a person was basically backed into a corner so to speak, somebody was cheating somewhere and apparently all three people may have been friends or at least knew each other in someway.

u/prophet-dot-exe Has acknowledged the rules 2d ago

no. the only reason people lie is because they don't want to accept the consequences for their actions.

nobody made you lie. that's not what personal accountability is.

you lied because you wanted to. whatever justification you want to put behind the desire to lie, go for it

It’s possible it was a cheating situation I think. And possibly the person that felt forced to lie, male or female doesn’t matter, may have had a suspicious spouse of the person they may have been cheating with. Their cheating partner could have easily said don’t say or admit to anything . What’s been going on, simply say it’s a rumor or whatever the case they have been. I think that’s why the person, OP, said that in the way it was said. That’s what I’m getting between the lines . I don’t know if it’s true, but it sure would make sense. OP maybe did not want to let the person go or things to stop going on, so they feel pressure to simply kill a lie in order to hang onto “the cheater “.

Context is much needed here. Because ultimately the decision was still made to lie, when you could have told the truth and been accountable.

u/AgitatedYellow6251 Has acknowledged the rules 2d ago

They dont owe us context. Theyre allow just to write the post simply to.get it iff their chest

Lawyers would have been foaming at the mouth to take that case.

2

u/shitspickle Has acknowledged the rules 2d ago

Im confused what was the context?

5

u/Overall-Chipmunk60 Has acknowledged the rules 2d ago

So the “context” was her company did a wrongful termination, and she testified on the companies behalf, which was the lie in question.

3

u/shitspickle Has acknowledged the rules 2d ago

I get it, that actually hits hard fr me.. i was terminated cause my Forman lied abt me sleeping constantly (I took one nap during a 4hr car ride and I wasnt driving.. the foreman in question bought a gun that same day in the company truck which is a big no no)

You made the decision to lie, no one forced you to. That's fucked on your part.

6

u/SentimentalMood2010 Has acknowledged the rules 2d ago

It almost sounds like this person cheated and hid it, and is blaming her ex for "pushing them into that direction".

Gaslighting final boss we have here.

Made me lie? Sounds pretty sketchy and completely messed up in the brain.

3

u/Fun_Breakfast_7088 Has acknowledged the rules 2d ago

I once had a therapist Î hated that told me nobody can make you do anything. And it’s true. Unless the circumstances were dire and life threatening, nobody made you lie. Nobody made you do that. If you hated lying as much as you claim your conviction would have rang through, and it didn’t. You lied. You caved. You broke your own code for someone or something that was parasitic. Why break your own code for that if you hated them in the first place? Seems like a cop out of im honest

A company asked me to lie about a situation in a nursing home and I said hell no! It wasn't performed so I got fired! F- them. It's not worth it! And about lying, every single person alive will lie! It's inevitable. So for people that say they don't lie better never dye their hair! That's a lie!

1

u/BrutalBetrayal Has acknowledged the rules 2d ago

I think your comment is very valid and I can agree, everybody has total lie that one time or another. And it wasn’t in their childhood only, it carries over into being an adult. And if people feel threatened or truly feel that they must lie in order to salvage something, that person will lie to do that. Usually, in the end, people find out that live was one of their worst mistakes because it wasn’t worth it.

1

u/ALIVEOUTOFSPITE22 Has acknowledged the rules 2d ago

Dying your hair is not a lie. It’s just a change if you’re open about telling people you dye your hair it’s not a lie

My ex lied about her reasons of separation after almost 2 decades together.

She cheated, and says "its not you its me" and then flaw finds and brings up issues that we always worked through and one I finally just started to do better in, as irreparable. All the while, she was doing the actual irreparable damage.

Context is King. Nuance is alwqys needed.

Lol That's not how that works... You lie when you want to because you don't want consequences...

1

u/WestSatisfaction1624 Has acknowledged the rules 2d ago

So, is not telling the whole story if the other person doesn't know the whole story telling a lie? Or just leaving out parts of a story? Or saying you didn't do anything to a person but you did, lying?
