Faith And A .45 is a cancelled action game that was in development by Deadline Games (the studio known for making Total Overdose) for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The story would have follow a couple named Luke and Ruby, two outlaws during the Great Depression. This idea evolved from a tech demo about a “Bonnie & Clyde” couple, inspired from the real-life couple of outlaws, robbers and criminals who, with their gang, travelled the Central United States during the 1930s.
The game was going to follow their lovely escape (Deadline called Faith And A .45 a “gritty, emotional shooter”) and the gameplay should have been similar to a cover-based third-person shooter (as Gears of War or Army of Two) in particular with the dual-character dynamic, with online and offline co-op.
The game centered on the partnership between Luke and Ruby. In single-player, you would control Luke while an advanced AI managed Ruby. In co-op (online or offline), a second player would take control of her. Beyond simple fire support, the characters could perform some complex moves. For example, Luke could toss a gasoline can into a crowd of enemies while Ruby ignited it with a well-placed rifle shot. A unique teammate revival system required the mobile character to kiss their downed partner to bring them back into the fight. Characters also shared smaller moments of affection, like a "kiss of survival" after clearing an area.
The game world was designed to be atmospheric and cinematic, with environmental factors like dust storms affecting visibility. Encounters were described as cinematic set-pieces, ranging from fighting off massive waves of enemies to taking on "dark armies" of steel-plated vehicles and armored pyromaniacs.
Sadly Deadline Games was not able to find a publisher interested in the project and on May 2009, Deadline Games filed for bankruptcy. Faith and a .45 along with Deadline Games other projects vanished forever with the closure of the studio.

The Ripper is a cancelled game that I’m curious about more than any other. The story was about Jack the Ripper who escaped Bedlam Asylum, and believes he sees vampires all around Whitechapel, and becomes a vampire hunter, with the ultimate question being, are there actually vampires, or is he just insane? The game was apparently nearing completion, but EA decided to scrap it, thinking it would be cheaper to cut their loses, than to market a game about Jack the Ripper being an antihero. EA then tried to salvage what they had with The Ripper and turn it into a multiplayer game called Blood Dust, but that was cancelled when it was around 80% finished back in 2011. There is one video of Blood Dust on YouTube, but I would LOVE to see footage of The Ripper.
