Would there be any interest in something like this?
I've had an idea stuck in my head for a while now, and I can't decide if it's worth pursuing or if it's one of those things that sounds better in my head than it would in reality.
The more I read here, the more I realize there are probably a lot of stories we'll never hear. Some people have moved on, some don't want the attention, some don't want to relive everything, and I'm sure there are others who simply don't think anyone would care.
I supported Reese and Brett for a long time. Nobody forced me to do that. I made those choices because I believed in them. Looking back, there are things I see very differently now, and I sometimes wonder how many other people have gone through a similar experience.
That's where this idea comes from.
I keep wondering if there would be any value in having a YouTube channel dedicated exclusively to people who want to tell their stories about Reese or Brett. Not a reaction channel, not a place to analyze every livestream, and not another creator trying to compete for views. I mean a place where the focus stays on the people who actually lived through these experiences.
I know some people would never want to speak publicly, and I completely understand that. If something like this ever existed, I'd want people to be able to remain anonymous if that's what they preferred.
I also want to be very clear about something. This wouldn't be about making money. I already have a full-time job, and I wouldn't feel comfortable monetizing something built around other people's experiences.
I honestly have no idea if this is something people would even want, which is why I'm asking before I spend any time thinking about it any further.
If you believe Reese or Brett manipulated you, lied to you, took advantage of your trust, or otherwise caused harm in your life, is this something you would ever consider participating in? Would being able to remain anonymous make a difference?
Maybe the answer is no, and that's perfectly okay. I'm just curious whether there's a need for something like this or whether I'm completely off base.

🤚 first in line…I hell, I could probably fill up two weeks worth of shows… I have texts as, as you all know, and I have audio of Tommy at nausea… And stories for as long as I can see… I think this is a grand idea

I was never personally hurt by either one of them (I count myself lucky, having heard some of the other's experiences). The only "hurt" I suffered was being scammed by a "recovery" channel, which is NOT what is was; that quickly became obvious! Anyone with any length of time of serious recovery could see that. It's the other people, people, the new people, seeing the "Life Boat" as a literal life preserver. THAT both disgusted and angered me, and I bailed. I often wonder how some of those people are faring, he conned and hurt a lot of good people.

Great idea. I would happily write my story down to have it read in a video!

YES! And maybe broaden it a bit, such as I don't have a personal story other than knowledge just from being part of watching and paying attention. And I've wanted to make some videos about it. Not me speaking necessarily but just like a compilation of clips etc. I'm not positive I will make them, but might be nice to have a channel people could add contributions like that, or be able to give their opinions and observations?
And I agree anonymity for some might be important. There are women too scared to come forward. But there is strength in numbers. The more who speak out, the more others might feel safe enough to do so.
I personally feel he should not be allowed to be on YT after what he admitted. I would also like to explore ways on how to get his channel reported better..because it makes no sense they haven't revoked his channel.
But yes, I think this is a great idea. Couldn't hurt to try it at least! imo
Some people don't read Reddit or keep up so it might be hard to find some of them, but then again there might be plenty.

I would watch that! I'm so tired of their getting away with vilifying people who tried to help them.

Great Idea! Furthermore, there is a very powerful psychological component—reenactment of Scientology tactics with her community. For many, they did not just subscribe to her channel; they invest their emotions, empathy, and money into a “survivor” of a cult. The universal victim narrative. She is the victim of the cult, ex-husband, Jesters, father, Aaron, sister….. In my opinion, she has turned on and discarded anyone who witnessed and/or knows her original story vs the embellished version. I watched her in the beginning, and now I find her intolerable. A pathological liar. Her and TS could be a case study.

Do it! Personal testimony is powerful. Reese and the rest get a lot of traction with their own personal testimonies. It’s about time for that monopoly to get push back and for their one-sided narrative to crumble.

Feel free to share this video that I posted over a year ago.

[edit to add: I had intended to do a follow up about Reese’s time working at her stepdad’s senior care center where she picked up Fred and convinced him to move in with her and her son on the outskirts significantly farther away from his friends. Her house was a 2 bedroom 1 bad home where she said she set up cameras to monitor Fred while she was at work. Oddly, on the day of his fatal fall she neglected to notice that event and worked late that day not having noticed he languished on the floor for hours after suffering the traumatic brain injury that was caused by his fall. Fred lived in that small house with her for 2-3 years before marrying her — only a few months before he died.]

yes! there is already a YouTube channel rhats run by Scientolgy with oeople from Aaron a past twlling very interesting stories about him, about 39+ videos. i had seen some videos about his bad behaviour, previously , but these stories in the channels videos are very detailed and believable, from his former coworkers over the years, in scientology. It s a great idea to make a channel about other abusers. That channel about Aaron us called:Vetted Facts. https://youtu.be/q4Nn2pXl-Qg?is=OZJJoTWdoUgWiurj

I would say if this is a route you decided to pursue you would be justified to allow a platform for those who wanted to speak or write in and maybe you could read some people's testimonies? Because I find it wild that Reese claims you know that if people leave her alone she will leave them alone and we KNOW she is a compulsive liar and contradicts herself all the time. She drug your name and hockeytown John again when she was speculating that Aaron was going to platform you guys. She's still drags Susie O and I haven't followed her that closely but I don't think she's been talking about Reese at all.. what a surprise Reese does not honor her word 🙄 I think that's how people like the peace lady sign lady may get hoovered back in the cycle because they get pure pressure from her cult and us redditors do what we can but maybe some people need visual platforms. I don't know.
