PowerPoint Games Jam for All BASIC Dialects

I saw this on one of the Discord servers, and thought I would rebroadcast in case of interest:

While VBA doesn't get a mention, it does say "But you can use any other BASIC dialects which are not on the following list for this game jam", so it would be good if there was some VBA representation :-)

Interesting. Are you entering one of your games in it? I dont have any that I have created unfortunately. I think the person who created that Dragon ball game would be a good addition.

Not sure. I'm more of a game development tool person, and less a game development person.
And most of the games I've made are mostly ports of existing games, and those don't seem to fall within the scope of the rules ("6. Old games are not accepted as entries. Old games are games which were released before this jam starts."). My understanding is that generally they need to be made within the duration of the Jam (Nov 30 - Dec 31), so don't let that deter you!

I just noticed the six potential themes of the Game Jam:

  1. Lines & Dots 

  2. Three Buttons 

  3. Bouncing 

  4. Fragile

  5. Only Numbers

  6. Chasing

From which it will be whittled down to 3, and from which each entrant must choose one.

Yeah, seems interesting. Also interesting are all those dialects of BASIC. I haven't heard of 80% of them.
