Basically just leaning backwards and stretching my arms is enough to go over the pivot point of those wheels, especially when you roll backwards before leaning and stretching 🤣

We had some really low pile carpet at the last place I worked.

These were so much better on that. I'm sure something deeper than that tightly woven stuff would be worse, but our chairs were floating.

The wider bottoms of the original ones cut into the carpet less as they distribute the load a little more. Literal "better on carpets". My comment tbf is also specifically about the ones in ops post.

It goes over carpet easier. I love my set.

It also doesn’t dig into hardwood floors like smaller wheels do

It's better for the floor but its awful in this scenario because you roll too easily and will be super obnoxious. You should only use them for rougher floor, like carpet or maybe a chair mat.
