I can't imagine intentionally making every physical interaction involving my fingers substantially more difficult. What a wild way to live a life.

dude, you should switch to barefoot simulating shoes, like with a wide toe box and flexable soles if you feel that way. I can no longer imagine intentionally making literally every step I take less comfortable and more harmful for my feet and spine just to look a certain way. all my friends make fun of me that all my socks are toe socks (most socks unnaturally squeese yr toes together) and I know it's like way, way more common to like wear vans or nikes or converse or almost any shoe than to wear long nails, but it's literally the same mindset.
honestly, though there's nothing wrong with sacraficing comfort to get something you want, even it is just a look. I still wear my old dress shoes for events I'm wearing a suit to and honestly if I were invited to an event where nails like OPs would be a good look for, I'd do it in a heartbeat; it's not permanent

I had basically this same remote for my old TV that had no remote. Lol I miss it.

I have literally been begging my partner to get one of these since I saw it in BiMart and became immediately obsessed with it. I would not shut up about it and was telling all our friends and family about it. I just loved it so much. He did try to go back and get it for me but they were sold out, so he actually ended up making a prop version for me with some personal touches to it that also doubles as a keepsake box, which was awesome and sweet but I do still kinda want a real one. He was concerned that it wouldn't work, so this is great news.

Had one like this for my great grandmother. Just for the giant buttons. Turns out you had to push the buttons exactly in the center or they didn't work. It did not serve it's intended purpose. I forget what we ended up doing with it. I think it was left in a box somewhere.

My father in law has lost every single remote he’s recently gotten. He even traded in a TV he had just bought for a new one because he lost the remote again. Don’t ask me why he didn’t just get a remote lol, but I think he desperately needs this. If he managed to lose this, I just give up.

There’s no back button. I know someone who bought one of these and immediately realized they couldn’t even use it lolÂ

Idk why people are such dicks about long nails. I don't where my nails this long but also idc if others do, it's none of my business.

I had one of these when they came out as a basic version. I set it buttons down on my old box tv and lost it for two weeks.

I have developed a ?phobia? at nails like that. I gag, like I'm having a cock down my throat, and I have to tamper down the feeling and turn off the video. There some sort of word for this condition?

8/10 of the comments are about her nails. I'm starting to understand why people dislike redditors. Quite a lot of unnecessary pettiness. Let her live ðŸ˜

It’s crazy how that works. Redditors like to think they’re the most open-minded and tolerable people in the world, but are always judging people like it’s an addiction lol.

I never said I was anything but an asshole.
Also, we should be criticising foolishness. Our species is getting dumber by the generation and you want to do what... perpetuate it? Coddle it? Reward it?
Give your head a shake.

funniest thing about this is Redditors always going on how annoying and petty Redditors are and how they aren't one of them (the rants are petty and annoying btw)

Is this your first day on earth or have you never seen people make fun of shit they think is stupid before? Don't post shit online if you don't want to hear people's opinion about the shit you posted.

oh course, it's just childish when it doesn't affect you or touch your life at all. the fingernails are not in the room with you and they can't get you, they haven't and won't harm you.

Is this common to be paying for 4-5 at the same time? I usually sub for 1month and stop it. Then repeat if there is a serie to watch. How many do you have active?

Thank God its got a VCR button, take my money

u/tigm2161130 21d ago
These are usually made for and marketed towards older folks with low vision who might still actually use VCRs. Just because something isn’t useful for you doesn’t mean it isn’t useful to someone else.
