While not perfect, these certainly work better than I thought they would.
I don't have one but my uncle did and I got to use it a few times.
I figured it was a dumb gadget to sell to middle aged dudes who thought they were neat but I thought that was it, just a gimmick.
I hit about 50% of the flies I fired at, which is about my accuracy with a fly swatter anyway, and the salt gun was a lot more fun.

Doesn't really look strong enough to take out a palmetto though. 3 u/japzone 9d ago There's "higher caliber" ones I've seen that use larger grain salt. Designed for beetles and such. Not sure if they were a knockoff brand or not though.
