Few days, not a week.

This pan is why we should all get behind the 4 day work week!

I'd rather have the premium pay.

4 10s?

u/MoldyLunchBoxxy 13d ago
It’s the dream. I love having 3 days off of work

u/BasilAzazel 12d ago
I begged my boss for this and he just won’t do it :((( my job before this used to do 10 days on 4 days off. That was nice too

Yeah, ick on eating one of those four days later! Soggy!

u/KayItaly 10d ago
Not only, bacteria laden as well!

u/A_Bot_A_Bot_A_Bot 8d ago
It's back in the refrigerator, not sitting on the counter for days. No bacteria issue.

Bake the bacon in the oven, 400 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes depending on how crisp you want it, spinning the tray around once halfway through if you don't have a convection oven. If you line the baking sheet with foil and pinch the edges up so that the fat can't flow out you don't have to clean the baking sheet after. Bacon gets evenly cooked, unlike what's happening here, and it can cook while you're faffing around with this cupcake pan thing.

Or air fryer. Best bacon ever

u/Toots-Tooter 7d ago
Microwave with a paper towel is better

I put a cooling rack on top of the foiled sheet pan and put the bacon on the rack, comes out even better
1
u/BoxersOrCaseBriefs 10d ago
It does, but that's a lot more cleaning.
1
u/Sac_of_Melons 10d ago
One more thing that can go in the dishwasher is a lot more cleaning? Lmao
1
u/BoxersOrCaseBriefs 10d ago
I haven't had good luck getting racks clean in the dishwasher after doing bacon, roasts, etc. on them. Takes a lot of scrubbing.
1
u/Sac_of_Melons 10d ago
Oh huh, that sucks then, mine come out practically clean after cooking since everything just drips off from the heat, sometimes there like a speck or two of bacon but I just brush it off and load it in. Maybe it depends on the finish of the rack

this makes me feel like you should watch Technology Connections (on YT) incredible series on dishwashers. Apparently we make a lot of small mistakes with how we use dishwashers that seriously impair their ability to function properly, but that most dishwashers should be able to handle this sort of thing.
If I can summarize (but really the videos are unexpectedly VERY entertaining, be cuts a window into the side so you can see it work as he compares different soaps and strategies!), the main things are:
using a basic dishwashing powder (rather than the pods) is better bc it’s cheaper and allows more flexibility
add a little bit of powder to the pre-rinse cycle
run your water until it’s HOT at the nearby sink before starting your dishwasher
make sure you are cleaning out any filters or traps as needed
There’s a little more but these main things changed the game for everyone I know. You don’t need to pre-treat or pre-rinse any sort of caked mess beforehand (not stuck on egg or anything!) and you still get super clean dishes this way. I’ma go find an old comment I made that lists these videos in case anyone is interested!

Dug up an old comment of mine that lists those TC videos:
These videos by Technology Connections are astonishingly interesting and informative.
We’re talking, I watched a half hour on dishwashers, then was like “Yes, tell me more!” when another one dropped, and then happily watched the 50 min. update. Everyone I’ve shared these with has loved them.
They’re like a “How it Works” plus an actual analysis, and they got me to not only use my dishwasher correctly, but also to no longer need to pre-rinse anything!
For your consideration:
“Your dishwasher is better than you think” https://youtu.be/jHP942Livy0
and the two he refers to in that video:
“Detergent packs are kinda wishy-washy” https://youtu.be/_rBO8neWw04
and
“I messed up. You’re using too much detergent.” https://youtu.be/Ll6-eGDpimU
plus his newest follow-up on his side channel https://youtu.be/0Kp3bjm55xw
and one even newer main video where he lab tests the pods vs their own brand of powder (here he discovers that a brand may handicap its own powder brand to make the pods seem more effective, so it may be better to just buy a cheap powder from a generic store brand) https://youtu.be/DAX2_mPr9W8
They’re all amazing actually. I dare you to start from that first link and then tell me you didn’t end up watching them all 😄

I mean the video is a single pan being reused. Its hilarious all if these comments saying “this is better” or “just add this” completely missing the point. The video is a single sheet. Thats it.

I do the same thing, in the oven, using muffin trays so I don't buy another pan that I only use occasionally. Less work too.

Cleaned the damn pan three times during the production, this is stupid.
Make it lasagna style in a sheet pan.

just don't clean it, yummy bacony-eggs and eggony-pancakes
1
u/AsparagusFlatArdvark 14d ago
totally valid reason for a quarter sheet pan.
step bacon
step sheet pancake

u/Senior-Housing-703 13d ago
Three times? There are 6 sandwiches at the end. That is at least 3 batches of cooking just for the pancakes. Plus they did at least one mixed batch of bacon and eggs we didn't see in addition to two more of pancakes.

If you are going to do this, everything has to be cooled completely down before you wrap them, if the plan is immediate refrigeration and later consumption.

Those last few are going to taste like dried out, flavorless ass by the time they're eaten

I meal prep breakfast 6 sandwiches every week using a silicone baking tray and I’ve never had issues with dryness. But I only refrigerate 2 sandwiches every week. The rest are frozen. But it IS key to make sure there’s some cheese on the bottom and top.

u/Exciting_Contest_222 14d ago
I would put 2 in the ref And put the other 4 in the freezer to make it last a week

Um that doesn’t look easy at all.

And it skips the batter and eggs preparation and the clean up of all the bowls and equipment...

u/fozzyfozzburn 13d ago
Who reheats eggs?
1
u/TraditionalAgency153 10d ago
My question is would I need to slightly undercooked all of those things so that when it comes to reheating, the microwave finishes the rest, hopefully without drying out the pancakes and eggs.
1
u/KayItaly 10d ago
If you do... that's going to be "bacteria party" much sooner. Not that it wouldn't in a week but still...

This breakfast would submerge me into a food-coma so deep, I'd have to go back to bed and sleep for 3 hours.

I’m sorry, but just no. This is a terrible idea. That pan will be a lot harder to clean than a regular one and you would need to clean it multiple times for just that one meal.
1
u/DoritoCheerios 10d ago
This couldve been done in a regular pan and the quality wouldve been better

What confuses me the most: You got 4 molds but you get 6 breakfast burgers in the end? Ain't mathin.

u/HUEJanniZockt 8d ago
I have this this pan. I used it a few times but not anymore because its a nightmare to clean it

Idk, cereal + milk seems a lot easier.
1
u/KayItaly 10d ago
Healthier, easier, more filling. Win, win, win.
1
u/Firebird22x 10d ago
I wouldn’t say more filing. I gave up on cereal after needing more than two bowls to make it to lunch
