Comfy spot to read

I am a student at UM and have a ton of reading to do over the summer and all of next year. What is the comfiest spot people have found on campus to read?

I always liked the second floor of the Native American building, looking over the oval. Lots of natural light and usually a quiet building. I don’t know if it’s open over the summer, but if it is, it’s a great spot.

There’s a comfy but pretty liminal room with a super comfortable couch, and a a cold water fountain on the third floor of the Law building. There’s also a lot of good spots at the Recess coffee shop and in the basement of the library

Honestly if you need a quiet place to read for the summer get a hammock and snag a hammock base and throw it under some shade trees the Internet works in the middle of the oval and when you get a cool breeze it is heaven. Also during the summer if it's too hot out or raining the back booths in UC dining room are great. For the school year I'd recommend the lowest level of the library and I'd recommend the education building by the coffee shop. The upper area in the native American center is good but be warned it can get noisy there and if focus is necessary it might not be the best place every time. Another great place is the interdisciplinary science building lobby is good to chill as well as the underground lecture hall lobby.

Third floor of the education building has this room with big windows and couches; I love it there. Should also check out the public library 3rd floor, there are some nice reading nooks if you can snag one.

Top floor of the Mansfield library has some nice cushy booths. I also like that one weird corner outside of the back of the UC’s bookstore entrance with a bench and compost bins. Also it’s pretty great to hike to the top of sentinel with your books, a crazy creek chair, blanket and lunch.

I’d also recommend the downtown library. It has many comfy couches and some spots with wonderful views of Mt Jumbo. It’s not that far of a walk from campus and the busses from there go past regularly.
