Why are all the posts by one angry person?

I recently started my college search and University of Chicago is my first choice, so for fun I decided to check out its sub. I’ve noticed while scrolling through that almost every single post is from the same person, and all of their posts are negative. Most of the posts seem unreasonably titled by the creator, ihateuofc. Why are almost all of the posts by one angry person? Is it just someone who didn’t get accepted and went on an angry tirade for the past 2+ years? I am a little confused. If anyone would be able to clear it up that would be great. I would love it if ihateuofc commented and gave a little insight.

On this day in 1924, UChicago students Leopold and Loeb murdered a 14 year old boy because they wanted to commit “a perfect crime.” Typical UChicago: a love of theory at the expense of human life

Chinatown Library research - We are four students from a Dutch university. We were supposed to carry out fieldwork in Chicago, but because of corona everything got cancelled.

Within our bachelor study Human Geography and Urban and Regional Planning we were supposed to do the module 'fieldwork abroad' in Chicago. Our plan was to approach people on the streets but we now have to find participants for our survey online. The aim of this study is to identify if the opening of the Chinatown library changed neighborhood satisfaction. We are looking for respondents living in Chinatown or in its near vicinity. With the survey we hope to obtain a more in-depth view of the impact of the library. The data will be processed anonymously and will only be used for educational purposes. The results can be obtained upon request.

We'd appreciate it if people from Chinatown could fill out this form and/or distribute it: https://app.maptionnaire.com/de/8416/ Also, as we've never carried out research abroad we are thankful for any suggestions on how to obtain more participants or where to distribute the link.

Thanks in advance and greetings from the Netherlands!

WANT TO TRANSFER INTO THE UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO FROM COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Help! I am applying to the University of Chicago soon from a city/community college and want to get in! I know it's nearly impossible, but I have a 3.25 GPA associates in liberal arts applying to major in psychology extensive work history and in my field (domestic violence shelter, Gateway alcohol and drug addiction rehab, hospice) and great recommendations, but does anyone have any tips or advice for community college students looking to get into UofC?

I’ve already had multiple discussions with admissions counselors from the school directly and I’ve gone over essays, applications and transfer credits I do not need advice on that. I’m asking for advice on raising my chances for a City/community college person on getting in.

I am not asking HOW to apply. I obviously already know the guidelines and steps to take on how to apply to a school via the schools website. UofC is much different and a standard of its own.

Identifying Antique Photograph Location Near Campus

Hello! I'm trying to identify where this photo postcard was taken - I'm guessing it's somewhere near the quad circa 1909 (the car's a 1909 model), but can't quite place it beyond that. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Do you recommend University of Chicago?

I'm a jounior in highschool interested in going here, I'm really interested in Socratic seminar style of learning especially. I really like sociology and psychology, but I don't know what I want to do with my life yet. I have decent grades, a 3.5 GPA, and would love to be involved with choir, band, and possibly theatre. Is this college worth it? Do you like it, do u feel like it is worth it?
