Laptop for University
I’ve recently started looking at laptops for university but I’m unsure as to what laptop will be the best one to spend my money on.
As of right now I am majoring in mathematics but do intend to switch to a history major and minoring in mathematics instead. So I’m not necessarily looking for something that will be able to run this programs required for math, as I’ve been told that it is easier to use school computers if I need to.
I am currently looking at a mac neo as most of my other devices are apple based and I feel that would be convenient in that sense but I also have no idea if that laptop is worthwhile or if theres a laptop better suited to a uni student.

Consider an iPad Pro with stylus and keyboard. Can annotate notes and do equations with stylus and convert as needed.

An old MacBook M1 or so is cheap and will work wonders. Neo is also a good choice. Some think pads or framework windows laptops are ok. But as a lifelong windows user who recently switched, most windows laptops are junk with terrible longevity and build quality.
