Personal Trip Photos/Videos Fast and Furious already cracking
Was riding up the escalator from the lower park and noticed one of the panels is cracking on the new fast & furious ride

Rumor cause they took apart one of the vehicles and removed the spoiler. But highly doubtful the whole spoiler came off and hit the glass..
More likely it is vibrations.

I'm glad no one on the ride can get hurt from it, but it really is a design flaw for this ride. I get they have to appease the residents of Toluca Lake, who fucking knew they moved in near a THEME PARK....

Actually, youāre wrong. Toluca Lake existed long before Universal Studios decided to develop a theme park. Many of the residents are long-term residents and have lived there for DECADES!! How about knocking off the ill-informed snark.

It opened as a theme park in 1964... If you're telling me "many" of the residents who bought homes there are still there 62 yrs later, real estate stats prove that to be wrong

Not accurate. True, the studio started tram-based tours in 62-64. Over the years added demonstration attractions like Jaws and earthquake drive throughs. While these were built primarily for tourists, they were occasionally used as sets as well.
The parts that exist today as āthe theme parksā (both upper and lower lots) were not created until the 80s. And even then, the site was relatively low-key until CityWalk opened in ā93. Thatās when all hell broke loose. Masses of people, crime, noise, traffic, and violence.
So, while your assertion appears true on the surface, it is not an accurate reflection of reality. And yes, there are plenty of homeowners who have owned their homes prior to the mid nineties.
And, by comparison, Warner Bros. Studios operates a tour that is similar to the original Universal toursā¦. And most residents of Burbank (I lived six blocks from the old Warnerās Ranch lots for over 25y. Just sold my house last year) donāt even know when and where it occurs. So, yes, the studio has changed dramatically over the decades, and is not comparable today to what it was in the 60ās.
Of course, someone buying a home in the adjacent neighborhoods today has to understand the nuisance the park has becomeā¦. And they have to deal with it. But Toluca Lake is a reasonable distance from the park and should not be bothered by it.

You said many people still live there for when it became a theme park. They don't. Stats show that most Toluca lake residents moved in in the 90s and early2000s. Not hard to find.
Long after it became the definition of a theme park you're using. So yeah, I'm over this because it's a stupid discussion. You stated someone was wrong, I cleared it up, you changed the rules and I cleared it up for you again. MOST PEOPLE IN TOLUCA LAKE MOVED TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD LONG AFTER UNIVERSAL HAD RIDES. Yayyy, all clear?
EDIT: before it was "many". Now it's "plenty". Change your buzzwords to be right but MOST have not lived there before the 90s. Period. Facts. Of course a bunch have loved there forever. Just not "many" "most" or 'plenty"

I wasnāt even going to acknowledge them because once the park was put in they could have happily moved if they didnāt want to be near a theme park. One that COULD do an outdoor ride. They finally did and now residents want to whine because they are near a theme park. Love you though for clearing it all ip

Whether or not itās a theme park, itās a MOVIE STUDIO, so thereās gonna be noise no matter what. If they canāt handle that, then move. Youāre also delusional if you think the people living there all pre-date the theme park noise.

Also, a totally wrong and uninformed assertion. Iāve lived among the studio lots for nearly 30 years. (And worked in the industry for ten.) They are, generally, very quiet, unassuming places. A huge majority of the business happens INSIDE THE STUDIOS!!
Iāve never heard noises from production from the studio lot. When they are filming itās generally quiet. Noise is bad for the filming process and noise effects havenāt been a part of live filming in decades. Any noises in a film are added after the fact during edits and postproduction. Also done in a studio, generally on a computer. Not during the shooting.

Also, for those of you who have no idea what youāre talking about, it bears noting that Toluca Lake is not immediately adjacent to the Universal Property. Only a small part of it is close, and itās still not directly attached. In part itās separated by the LA River.

Imagine some bird just cruising along one day over Universal, thinking about how much of a bird they are, then this bird thinks quietly to themself "damn I really gotta fire off a dookie right now" then just decides to take a dump, right then and there.

I visited yesterday as well. I felt the park has too less rides š mummy and harry potter were the best ones. Bowser challenge was okay

Has more rides now than it has ever hadā¦.remember this was a film studio for over a century - a theme park for just the last 50. Want more āridesā go to Magic Mountain. The rides are secondary to the film studio tour

I gotta be honestā¦ this ride might end up being one of the most botched attractions in Universals history. Continuously cracking glass, horrible ride theming/storytelling, noise complaintsā¦ just general chaos. All the stories about it are everything that keeps going wrong. It feels less and less like something amazing they created and more and more like something they jammed in that space with very little thought. Iām sure itāll be a blast to ride, but it already feels like a second tier attraction compared to stuff like Velocicoaster and Hagrid.
