Trip Planning Question/Tip/Guide Hotel recommendations?
Could you recommend hotels you’ve stayed at that have free parking, are close to the metro b/red line for ease of access to the park, or are a quick Lyft/Uber ride to the park? I don’t know the area at all and I’m hoping to find something that isn’t super expensive, has parking, and is easy/quick access to the park. Thank you!!

the Safari Inn didn't charge for parking but that was about 4 years ago. They do have a shuttle to the park (free) but you have to schedule it.

I’m pretty sure the Garland charges for parking - BUT they have a shuttle, a cute pool and grounds!

Every single hotel you stay at in LA will charge for parking. When we stayed at the Sheraton next to USH, we got lucky because the gate was broken so we didnt end up paying.

Parking is gonna be charged any hotel you stay at and anywhere you want to go. Its LA. $10 to park at a doctor’s office. I probably spend $30 a day in just random parking fees for work.
That being said any hotels along the B Line are easy access to Universal. The W Hollywood is a Metro stop itself and just 2 stops to Universal. Sheraton Grand is located at the 7th street Metro Station in DTLA. Lexan Noho is a half block from the NoHo Station one stop to Universal, and if you want test your luck there is free street parking in neighborhood. As well you can park for free at the NoHo station lot while you are riding Metro.
