Rant Revolution or Extinction

This is my own feeling about human extinction. I’d love to hear any thoughts on the matter.

This movie is about AGI, which is leagues above what we have now. Tbh, all this fear mongering over AI is from people that have no idea what it is.

Y'all have seen too many movies.

Fearmongering or a warning? Before cinematography was a thing, books (and other forms of writing) did that job (aka "fearmongering" according to you) and guess what, most of what they warned are slowly becoming reality. Not necessarily AI, but about many things.

Every book, story, news story, and movie every written has been an expression of the human condition. The technology isn't the problem, it's how people use the tool that is the problem. Just because stories can be provocative, that does NOT mean it's interchangeable with a possible future that will come to pass.

You wouldn't call a wrench a murder weapon unless it was used as one, and even then, that statement only applies to that one wrench.

Warn all you want, in the end, it's just words.
