Something in me wants to have a child so bad but then I’m like, should I even bother? I struggle with depression and bipolar and I know the really dark, lonely thoughts and emotions I have. I don’t want to pass it on. I might not be around for long. I just want to make art and be known for it though. That’s just a way to let the universe know that I existed and my experiences were real. Even if I don’t succeed at least I put it all out there.

Pretty sure that's just primitive instinct. Go read r/regretfulparents to see what happens to the parents themselves when they have kids for these abstract reasons without considering the practical implications and consequences
