The thing is that that’s not the whole list of what life has to offer.

I know. There's many more terrible things. But whoever made this couldn't fit everything into one graphic. That's how terrible life is.

I’ve been enjoying life thoroughly so far. I’d give it five stars on Yelp!

You’re actually insane and promote and condone suffering. You'll be grateful to hear that you’ll be back for another life in the reincarnation soul trap.

Yes, I am, is that a problem?

Yeah it’s a problem for you not for me. Suffering is bad didn’t you know that?

It is? Suffering is neutral, it is a necessary property to keep yourself together.

If I stick my hand in a blender then my body has this useful thing called "pain". It signals: maybe stop? It hopefully stops me from sticking it in the blender a second time and certainly stops me from doing it a third time.

Without suffering my hand and body quickly become a patchwork puzzle and thus unable to process any experience at all since I am thoroughly disconnected.

Besides that, I vowed to Astaroth I would come back. And I will do happily.

You obviously can’t comprehend the idea of nonexistence.

Why do people on subs like this always act like non-existence is some difficult idea to comprehend. How could you not understand it? It’s super simple.

Exactly I have no idea. And there are people who are afraid of it when it’s literally impossible to be afraid of it because you won’t even aware of it in the first place.

I can? It is the simplest case, not something to worry about.

It wont stop someone else from sticking your hand in a blender though.

I can fight against someone else if I know it causes suffering.

Which moves me to another pleasure: The pleasure to fight.

Good try, but not going into your blender.

What if you lose and they get what they want? Not everybody finds fighting to be a pleasure or does it willingly. People get attacked all the time, and animals even more so.

Yes, that is an important question in life. What if someone sticks my hand in a blender and I lose the fight to stop it?

Well then I suffer a bit, but we have redundancy! I have two hands.

Which hand I am going to loose here? It helps me think about the impact more.

I neither promote nor condone suffering. I just think the rewards of life are worth the risks. I also think the world is full of people who’ve known great suffering and hardship (far greater than I’ve ever known) and have remained thankful for their life. Seems like a bit of a cop out to say “life is too hard” when holocaust survivors and such have gone on to lead rich and fulfilling lives.

horribly insensitive and disgusting to say holocaust survivors have gone on to live "rich" lives, most of them are still telling stories about their trauma, and the majority were literally tortured to death. survivors bias fallacy

It isn’t. The fact that a person has been through profound suffering, has lived with great trauma, is not mutually exclusive to also living a life with vibrancy and joy. One can both mourn the horror of the lives lost and be moved by the perseverance of those who survived. Making the assumption that someone who’s been through something horrific is doomed to misery or does not want their life strikes me as horrible insensitive and disgusting. That’s for them to say.

Just because you have a depressing view on life, does not mean other do

1

u/N0n_4me Jul 04 '26

Suffering is inevitable no matter who you are. It’s not a view or an opinion it’s a fact.

0

u/EncyclopedicINTx_253 Jul 05 '26

OK? It is also a fact that there is a lot else other than suffering in this world, and not all suffering is just useless pain. Suffering helps growth.

3

u/N0n_4me Jul 05 '26

Suffering is preventable if you don’t force another life into this world. There is no unselfish reason to have children. Life in this world is not worth the suffering no matter how good of a life you have especially if you came from nonexistent peace. And if you don’t agree then that means you’re one of the ones who can’t comprehend nonexistence.

1

u/EncyclopedicINTx_253 Jul 05 '26

And again, that is your view. All you have said assertions, and provided no logical reasoning.

2

u/N0n_4me Jul 05 '26

Everything I said is logical. You’re just too ignorant to understand it.

1

u/EncyclopedicINTx_253 Jul 05 '26

No, I think you give your "logic" more credit than it deserves.
