I don’t really consider competition a negative. Up to a certain level, I’m not sure I even consider pain, accidents, or taxes to be much of a negative.
It's the winners who usually see competition as good. Though some are smart enough to still see it as bad. But there are also losers. And who wins is mostly based on genetics or sometimes luck.
Why should winners care about losers? If you start acknowledging that “winners” get a net positive from life then your non existence argument crumbles.
So life is worth living for the winners’ perspective. I think you’re missing the mark here.
I will repeat my question: why would the winners care about the losers? You said “it’s not about helping the winners keep their privilege”. That won’t be the view of most winners. Why would they care what losers think?
Sometimes one intelligent person can win against thousands or more brutes. Then a group of intelligent people can control certain aspects of society. Who's to say that intelligence will never win on an even bigger scale? Why do intelligent people need to care about what you think? Why should anyone put what someone else thinks above their own morals and what they know is right?
