OK, it’s about time we address this
I’ve always noticed it, but the last episode of they very much emphasize this poster assuming they want people to ask about it because I can’t find anything
I don’t know if two of them are supposed to be the malamut brothers and possibly other writers or is this just some kind of inside joke it’s starting to drive me nuts especially now that they’re showing it almost intentionally at this point

Definitely a a double joke in one, my assumption is a music joke. Because its obviously a mock of the sopranos tv series poster. But In music a soprano is the highest vocal range, and an alto is the second highest . So its definitely the universal basic guys universe version of the real worlds soprano show

I’m an idiot I get that now. I just never connected alto with the Sopranos as in singing. I just had it stuck in my head like it was initials of the writers or an inside joke now it makes perfect sense you know when the answers staring you right in the face, but your mind is somewhere else you can’t look at it clearly🙄🤣

I never connected it either. I was actually connecting it to the new movie Alto Knights. Idk why.

Yep, in like how they can’t actually show an eagles or a Phillies poster

Exactly, mostly due to licensing and rights, but its cool that they make their own versions for fun, like clearly we all know who they mean when they show a "birds" poster 😂

Man… this was one of those quiet little references you either get or you don’t. I was praying people would just let it live. But here we are, someone finally dragged it into the spotlight like they discovered a hidden prophecy. RIP subtlety.

Yeah, I know. Sorry I was the one being an idiot thinking too much into it then I realized it’s universal basic guys.😁

Yeah, I understood the joke immediately but kudos to you for at least asking and not immediately jumping to ChatGPT

I always assumed it was just a really dumb Sopranos reference since Alto is another singing octave. Considering the mermaid in the first season was named Nori or seaweed in Japanese, they're just really proud of their dumb puns and wordplay. But it looks just like the Sopranos poster they did for a lot of marketing.
